Low-current mode

Some devices require very little power to charge. Think of wireless earbuds, smartwatches, or small fitness trackers. For these devices, a low-current mode on a power bank is useful.

What exactly is it?

Low current mode ensures that the power bank delivers a low and stable charging current. Regular power banks sometimes automatically stop charging if the device requires insufficient power. Low current mode power banks prevent this and always charge, even with low power consumption.

When do you use Low-current mode?

When charging

  • Wireless earbuds
  • Smartwatches
  • Fitness trackers
  • Small Bluetooth devices

How do you activate Low-current mode?

Please note that your power bank must support low current mode in order to activate it.

This can vary per power bank, but usually it is one of the following two:

  • Hold the on/off button for a few seconds
  • Tap the button twice in succession
