Lightning

What is lightning?

Lightning is Apple's proprietary connector. The compact, reversible connector allows for charging iPhones, iPads, and accessories. Unlike universal USB-C, Lightning is exclusive to Apple. This means you can only charge Apple products with a Lightning cable.

Apple's newer products are now switching to USB-C, but millions of devices still use lightning cables for charging every day.
