Do you want to take your photography to the next level? With our tripods you can take better, calmer and more stable photos and recordings. Whether you are a vlogger or an enthusiastic hobbyist, we have the tripod that suits you best.
A tripod tripod is a tripod with 3 legs, these 3 legs give the tripod stability, allowing the tripod to support a camera, phone or action cam to a certain height without falling over. A tripod ensures that you no longer have to hold your device while taking photos or recordings. This makes it easier to take more stable photos or recordings. The adjustable legs allow you to take stable photos with your tripod even on uneven terrain.
There are many different types of tripods in all shapes and sizes. There are large, small, flexible and fixed tripods. Each of these tripods has its own situations in which they excel.
Large tripods are mainly used for taking photos when you have nowhere else to put your camera or phone. If you want to reach a certain height with your camera or smartphone, it is best to use a large tripod. Some tripods have a working height of up to 179 cm. This allows you to try out all kinds of perspectives with your photos. Large tripods normally also have a higher maximum carrying weight. For example, our MOJOGEAR 179cm 3 in 1 tripod has a maximum carrying weight of 4kg. You can easily attach most cameras to this. Most large tripods can also be used as a camera tripod. Of course you can also simply attach a phone to it, but you will probably also need a phone holder for this.
Smaller tripods are best used when you want to place your tripod somewhere to take photos. For example, if you want to record a podcast and film it from a table. Within the small tripod category we make a distinction between flexible mini tripods and fixed mini tripods. Both flexible and fixed small tripods are lightweight and compact. This makes these tripods very suitable for use during city trips or backpacking trips. These tripods often weigh around 100 grams.
Flexible mini tripods often have a lower maximum carrying weight, for example our MG-01 has a maximum loadable weight of 300 grams. So this can actually only be used as a telephone tripod. These tripods are universal, so they can be used as an iPhone tripod, but also for other smartphones, such as Samsung, Huawei or OnePlus. The big advantage of flexible tripods is that they have bendable legs, so you can use them to film from non-flat surfaces. For example, you can bend the legs around a pipe or a branch. Are you specifically looking for a tripod for your phone? Then view our telephone tripod page.
Fixed mini tripods can carry slightly more weight than flexible mini tripods. For example, the Ulanzi MT-08 has a maximum portable weight of 1200 grams. This means that this tripod can carry smaller cameras. Of course, these tripods are still suitable for iPhones and other phones.
When buying a tripod, it really depends on what you want to use the tripod for. The biggest distinction that can be made is whether you want to photograph/film with a telephone or camera.
If you are looking for a tripod for your phone, almost all tripods are suitable. The main thing you should keep in mind is that you will probably need to purchase a phone holder. You can then attach this to the tripod, so you can easily place your smartphone on your tripod. For example, on our website we also have composite kits where a tripod is already combined with a telephone holder and Bluetooth remote shutter, such as the Flexible mini tripod with foam rubber legs KIT.
You should also consider whether you want to place the tripod somewhere or whether you prefer to have it on the ground. If you want to place the tripod somewhere, a mini tripod is probably the best choice. If you like to have the tripod on the ground, it is better to opt for a large tripod. Carrying weight is often not a problem when you are looking for a tripod for your iPhone or Android phone, because these phones are often not too heavy.
When you are looking for a tripod for your camera, the most important aspect is the carrying weight. Of course, you don't want the tripod to fall over or collapse due to the weight. Our large tripods such as the MOJOGEAR 179cm 3-in-1 tripod or the MOJOGEAR 177cm 2-in-1 tripod both have a maximum carrying weight of 4kg, so they can accommodate many cameras, but certainly not all of them. For a camera, a mini tripod is often not recommended, unless you have a smaller camera.
