What is Wh?

Wh stands for watt-hour and indicates the total energy a device or power bank can store or deliver. It combines power (watts) and time (hours) into a single figure. The higher the Wh number, the more energy is available to charge devices. Wh is often used for larger power banks and when indicating how much energy can be safely carried on an airplane.

Wat betekent Wh bij powerbanks?

Wh staat voor wattuur en geeft aan hoeveel energie een powerbank kan opslaan en leveren. Het wordt berekend door de spanning (V) te vermenigvuldigen met de capaciteit in ampère-uur (Ah). Hoe hoger het aantal Wh, hoe vaker of langer je apparaten kunnen worden opgeladen. Let op: sommige landen, zoals bij vliegreizen, hanteren een maximaal toegestane Wh-waarde voor het meenemen van powerbanks in het vliegtuig.
