Use your smartphone's main camera

With this vlog monitor, you use the rear camera of your smartphone, which often offers higher resolution and better low-light performance than the selfie camera. The 4.02-inch IPS screen displays a bright and sharp image of what your camera is capturing, so you can always determine the perfect composition. This ensures professional-looking vlogs and videos, directly from your phone.

Please note: When filming in 4K 30FPS/60FPS with iPhone (does NOT apply to Android), a slight connection delay may occur. For fully smooth playback, use the Blackmagic Camera App (see manual).

Wireless and wired connection

The monitor connects to your smartphone via a stable 2.4G/5G dual-band Wi-Fi connection, ensuring smooth image transmission without noticeable delay. For situations where a wireless connection is not desirable, the monitor can also be connected via a wired connection. This dual connectivity option gives you the freedom to film in any environment.

Thanks to the quick magnetic attachment, you can effortlessly snap the selfie vlog monitor onto your smartphone. Suitable for almost all smartphones (except Google Pixel), provided your device or case is magnetic.

Direct control over your recordings

The VS3 monitor is equipped with its own shutter button, allowing you to start and stop recordings directly from the screen. This simplifies the shooting process, as you do not have to constantly touch your smartphone. The included Bluetooth remote control (range of up to 30 meters) offers additional convenience for operating your camera remotely.

Easily rotate the image 180° with a single press of the rotation button on the side. This feature is designed for use with the camera app and is not guaranteed with other apps, although it may work there in some situations.

Built-in speaker for audio feedback

Thanks to the built-in speaker, you can listen to the sound of your recordings directly on the monitor. This is useful for checking the audio quality while filming or when reviewing your footage. This way, you can be sure that both your video and audio have been recorded well.
