The Ulanzi L024 40W RGB COB Video Light combines a powerful light output with a compact and portable design. Thanks to the built-in 3400 mAh battery, you can also use the light without mains power, making it suitable for both studio setups and on-location photo and video productions.
The lamp delivers a maximum power of 40W in normal mode and can be temporarily boosted to 50W thanks to the overclock mode. In doing so, the lamp achieves a maximum light output of 9100 lux at 0.5 meters with a reflector. Weighing only 490 grams and measuring 10.5 × 8.5 × 8.5 cm without a reflector, you can easily carry the L024 in your photo or video bags.
The L024 uses a powerful COB LED and has a wide beam angle of 120°. In normal mode, the lamp delivers a maximum of 40W. For situations where extra light is needed, activate the overclock mode. The power is then increased to a maximum of 50W, achieving a brightness of up to 9100 lux at 0.5 meters with the included reflector.
The lamp has a CRI of 95+ and a TLCI of 96+, ensuring colors are rendered accurately and naturally. This makes the L024 suitable for portraits, interviews, product photography, videography, and content creation, among other things.
In addition to powerful white lighting, the L024 features full RGB color control. In RGB mode, you choose a color within the full range of 0 to 359°. This allows you to easily create colored accents, mood lighting, or striking backgrounds.
For traditional white lighting, the color temperature is adjustable from 2500K to 6500K. This allows you to switch between warm, atmospheric light and cooler daylight. The brightness is steplessly adjustable, so you can precisely tailor the light intensity to the situation.
For creative productions, the L024 features 20 built-in lighting effects. With these, you can simulate police cars, an ambulance, fire trucks, lightning, fireworks, a television, candlelight, a defective lamp, a strobe light, and paparazzi flashes, among others.
The various effects are customizable, allowing you to adjust speed, frequency, or style, among other things. This way, you use the lamp not only as a practical light source but also for creative effects in videos and photography.
The built-in 3400 mAh battery enables wireless operation. In overclock mode, the operating time at maximum brightness is at least approximately 50 minutes. At maximum power in normal 40W mode, this is at least approximately 70 minutes. In ECO mode, the lamp can be used at minimum brightness for at least approximately 180 minutes.
Charging is possible via the DC connection or via USB-C with support for PD up to 65W. Fully charging the battery takes approximately three hours. The lamp can be used while charging; the maximum light output is then 40W. A suitable charger and charging cable are required for this and, depending on the version, are not included as standard.
With its compact housing of 10.5 × 8.5 × 8.5 cm and a weight of only 490 grams, the L024 is designed for mobile use. As a result, the lamp is easy to operate with one hand and easy to take to a location.
On the underside, there is a 1/4" mount that allows you to attach the lamp to a tripod or other compatible accessories. Additionally, the L024 features a Mini Bowens mount, which allows light modifiers such as the included reflector and diffuser cap to be attached.
The housing features tempered glass with high light transmittance and good heat resistance. A built-in cooling system helps keep the lamp at the correct temperature during use.
