Features of the DJI Osmo Action Pro 5 compared to the GoPro Hero 13

GoPro has solved this problem with the Hindsight function. This function ensures that the camera also saves the 15 or 30 seconds before you click on record. This way you never miss that cool moment. You only have to make sure that the camera is in the right direction. This function is unfortunately missing on the Osmo Action 5 Pro.

In addition, GoPro also offers scheduled recordings and an adjustable recording time. You can set from when to when the GoPro should film — ideal for timelapses, for example. The adjustable recording time is useful if you often forget to turn off your GoPro; this will turn it off automatically. This way, your storage is not full after two skiing descents and your battery is not empty. These functions are also missing on the Osmo Action 5 Pro.

Stabilization

Both action cameras feature electronic image stabilization. GoPro calls it HyperSmooth 6.0 with AutoBoost, and Osmo Action RockSteady 3.0+. GoPro's stabilization is clearly better, however: the footage is often considerably smoother than that of the Osmo Action.

When it comes to accessories that you can buy for the action cameras, there is also a big difference. For the GoPro Hero 13, you can buy a macro lens, ultrawide lens, ND filters and an anamorphic lens. For the Osmo Action 5 Pro, there is a FOV Boost Lens and a microphone available that has been specially developed for this model.
