Capacity

Capaciteit

What does capacity mean for a power bank?

A power bank's capacity is expressed in mAh (milliamp-hours). The number of mAh indicates how much energy the power bank can store and deliver to your devices. The more mAh a power bank has, the more often you can charge your smartphone or tablet. A power bank with a high mAh rating therefore has a larger internal battery and can power your devices for longer.

Example

For example, a power bank with a 10,000 mAh capacity can theoretically charge a smartphone with a 3,000 mAh battery more than three times. In practice, however, you should take efficiency losses into account. On average, the efficiency of power banks ranges between 60% and 90%, depending on the quality and specific charging conditions.
